13 Things You'll Only Buy If You're Truly Obsessed With Donuts

Fancy donuts are all the rage these days, and for those of us who can’t get enough of these delicious creations, we’ve found 13 perfect items for serious donut lovers.

For starters, we kicked off the list with a $770 necklace for people who want to show off their love of diamonds and donuts. A frighteningly realistic purse that looks like a plate of donuts also made the list, alongside more reasonably priced items like a donut-themed lamp, shower curtain and beach towel (the list is organized from most to least expensive).

Donuts may be cheap, but some of these items sure aren’t:

'Incredible Hulk' Star Lou Ferrigno Comes To The Rescue When Fan Has Seizure

“The Incredible Hulk” actor Lou Ferrigno transformed into a real life hero ― again ― by helping a fan who was suffering from a seizure.

Frank McAlister wrote on Facebook that his son, Ted, experienced the seizure while speaking to the actor and bodybuilder at FanBoy Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee over the weekend.

“Mr. Ferrigno touched me on the shoulder and said that Ted was trying to tell him something that he couldn’t understand,” McAlister wrote. “I turned and knew immediately that Ted was having a seizure and I told Mr. Ferrigno what the problem was and I needed to get to him.”

As it turned out, Ted was in good hands.

Ferrigno is a reserve deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and volunteers for the Montrose Search and Rescue Team. Last year, he helped to save a motorist who drove off a cliff.

“I’ve been a sheriff for 12 years,” Ferrigno told the Knoxville News Sentinel. “So I deal with this situation.”

McAlister wrote that the actor took quick action, clearing his booth so Ted could sit, and calling for medics.

“The Incredible Hulk made sure that I had everything that I needed,” McAlister wrote. “When Ted started to come around and started to get up, the Big Man reached down his hand and assisted me as Ted stood.”

He even escorted Ted, McAllister and the EMT to the restroom.

It’s funny it happened at my table and it’s like, I’m glad it happened here because he was at the right place, knowing that he would be OK,” Ferrigno told the Knoxville News Sentinel. “If it was a strange environment, in the street, he could have died.”

Once medics declared that Ted would be fine, Ferrigno invited him and his father to come back to the booth for another picture.

“Talk about a real life action hero!” McAllister wrote. “This man is the real deal. It was an absolute honor to shake his hand and a greater honor to say Thank You to a gentle Giant.”

Ferrigno has played The Hulk several times, most famously in the 1977-1982 TV series also starring Bill Bixby, who played Dr. David Banner.

Michelle Obama's Tribute To Chance The Rapper Literally Moved Him To Tears

It’s one (rather humbling) thing to be honored with BET’s Humanitarian Award ― it’s another to be praised by Michelle Obama and to have her call you a friend. But leave it to Chance The Rapper to accomplish both by the age of 24.

In addition to taking home the award for Best New Artist during the 2017 BET Awards, which aired Sunday, the rapper and activist became the youngest person to receive its Humanitarian Award.

Chance donated $1 million to public schools in his hometown of Chicago in March, led campaigns to give outerwear to Chicago’s homeless and even led a march to Chicago voting polls on Election Day 2016.

His list of social deeds can go on for days, which is probably why he was able to get a shoutout from our favorite first lady.

“We are so incredibly proud of you, Chance,” the former FLOTUS began. “We have known Chance and his family since he was a wee little baby rapper and it has been a thrill watching him come into his own in so many ways.”

“In addition to making some really amazing music, Chance has been taking that big bright spotlight that follows him around and shining it on our hometown of Chicago,” she continued. “Chance is showing our young people that they matter, they have something inside of them that is worthy of being expressed.”

After the first lady’s touching words, cameras caught Chance with tears in his eyes.

His acceptance speech, which he said was impromptu because he wanted to “speak from the heart,” proved his accolades from Mrs. Obama were well deserved.

After declaring a love for black people, Chance went into a spiel about how this country can start making things right.

“I had plans originally to try to tell the world and everybody watching how to make it a better place,” he said.

“To tell everybody in this government that y’all need to let everybody out of jail for selling weed before y’all start making it legal for people to sell it and make capital off it,” he continued, making pointed eye contact with the camera.

“I was going to tell the Chicago public school system not to take out a loan from Chase Bank when they know that our schools are planning on failing in our district,” he said to increasing applause.

Before ending his speech, Chance declared that he also wants to work on himself and become a better father, cousin, etc.

He then had the nerve to say he doesn’t yet feel the award is deserved. Let the humbleness take a seat for one night, Chano.

Meet Brynneth Pawltro, Kentucky Town's New Pit Bull Mayor

The small Kentucky town of Rabbit Hash has a new mayor. Brynneth Pawltro is outgoing and has a great smile, said the town’s residents of their new elected official. She also happens to be a dog.

There’s always inappropriate licking going on,” Bobbi Kayser, secretary of the town’s historical society, told WDRB.com of how meetings with the new mayor tend to go.

Brynneth, or Brynn for short, is a 3-year-old rescue pit bull. She edged out several contenders, including Stella the cat and a donkey named Higgins, to win the mayoral election. According to People, Brynn amassed more than 3,300 votes, winning the election by a “landslide.”

This is Brynn’s first foray into politics, but it’s not the first time that Rabbit Hash has had a canine mayor. WDRB.com reported this week that Brynn is the fourth consecutive dog mayor that the town has had. She took up the mayoral mantle after Lucy Lou the border collie resigned from office last year.

HuffPost reported in 2015 that Lucy was considering running for president

Brynn’s mayoral win happened in November, but her story has gone viral again this week. Brynn’s owner, 23-year-old Jordie Bamforth, told the Cincinnati Enquirer in an earlier interview that Brynn had run for mayor on a platform of “peace, love and understanding.”

“Brynn has declared to be peaceful with any human or animal that comes through Rabbit Hash, especially the cats. Brynn does like to chase the cats around here, but has pledged to refrain from it as much as possible,” Bamforth, who adopted Brynn from a local shelter, told the outlet.

According to the Associated Press, Rabbit Hash is such a small town that it doesn’t really have need for a mayor. Since the 1990s, however, the town has been holding elections as a fundraising effort. Each vote is $1 and residents can vote as many times as they want

The most recent election raised almost $9,000, reported People. That money went towards the restoration of the town’s general store which burned down in a fire last year.

In March, Mayor Brynn announced the store’s impending grand reopening on her Facebook page:

These Comics Will Ring True If You've Ever Dated Someone Younger

Age ain’t nothin’ but a number ― until you start dating someone younger and then suddenly everyone has an opinion.

Artist Cassandra Calin, a 22-year-old who is currently in a relationship with a younger guy, captures the highs and lows of this dynamic in a new comic series for College Humor.

“This is the first series I’ve done where I introduce my boyfriend and our relationship,” Calin, who is based in Montreal, told HuffPost.

The artist says her boyfriend enjoys teasing her about the age difference. (We’ve asked what the age difference is but haven’t heard back yet.)

“He enjoys reminding me that when I turn 30, he’ll still be in his 20s,” she told HuffPost. “And sometimes he calls me ‘granny Cassandra’, especially when my joints crack out of the blue.”

Check out the rest of the relatable moments below. To see more of Calin’s work, visit her website, Tumblr, Facebook or Instagram
